J.D. Mobley & Tommy Boileau to drive GRID-1/Matt Young Motorsports RX-8’s at Miller
Apr. 29, 2012 - Tooele, UT - The Grid-1/Matt Young Motorsports’ Mazda RX-8’s of Don Walker, Matt Young, and Major League Soccer All Star Heath Pearce will make their 2012 Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car debut at this weekend’s PrivacyStar Utah Grand Prix presented by the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving at scenic Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. The team will feature an all-new Rookie lineup with first time series entrants J.D. Mobley and Tommy Boileau.
Mobley, a native of Castle Rock, Colorado will pilot the #97 Global Barter Corp/iTraycer/GRID-1/Matt Young Motorsports Mazda RX-8. J.D. stormed to the 2010 SCCA Pro Racing VW Jetta TDI Cup Championship with 2 race wins, and 2 poles both coming at Mexico’s Autódromo Miguel E. Abed in the final 2 rounds of the 10 race series. He hopes this weekend’s 3 races will be just the beginning of a successful campaign in the 2012 Pirelli World Challenge season.
Tommy Boileau, hailing from Monument, Colorado is behind the wheel of the #98 iTraycer/GRID-1/Matt Young Motorsports Mazda RX-8. As a driving instructor at Pikes Peak International Raceway, and now working in the same capacity with the Bob Bondurant Satellite School at PPIR, Tommy has experience in just about everything on 4 wheels from Open Wheel cars, to Sports Cars, to Stock Cars, and more.
