Tavella Looks for Results after Gaining Experience at VIR

After debuting in the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda less than two weeks ago, Dylan Tavella will head to Road Atlanta for rounds four, five and six of the season this coming weekend. After progressing forward and gaining experience in all three rounds at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR), Tavella will look to put that experience to use this weekend at the iconic facility.

"I was really happy with the way the first weekend went but am looking forward to Road Atlanta," explains Tavella. "I gained a ton of experience and learned a lot. The Miller Vinatieri Motorsports crew did a great job and I can't thank them enough for their help and patience in getting me up to speed. Open wheel racing is much different than karting but I love it and can't wait to continue my learning process."

Completing every race lap at VIR, Dylan achieved his goal of a damage free weekend all while representing his marketing partners and team to the best of his abilities.

Tavella continues, "VIR was good but now that I know how the series runs, the competition, the aggressiveness of other drivers and more, I think Road Atlanta will provide myself and the team with much better results. I now realize that there is a huge emphasis on qualifying as it sets the stage for the entire weekend. If you don't qualify well, it is difficult to get a fast race lap in race one to get a good starting spot for race two and so on. I am really going to work on my qualifying session to make sure I am up to speed quickly on new tires."

With no promoter's test day on the schedule for this weekend's event, the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda will be on track this coming Friday. With official practice taking place, three rounds of wheel-to-wheel competition will be on the Saturday and Sunday schedule as series competitors will compete in rounds four, five and six of the 2018 series.
