James Raven Partners with an Industry Apparel Leader

James Raven and MIR® Raceline partner for final two F4 U.S. Championship events

James Raven of Portsmouth, England, announced today that MIR® Raceline will offer additional support for the remainder of the Formula United States Championship Powered by Honda season as his newest partner. The DEForce Racing rookie will sport a new navy, silver and white suit adorned with the iconic MIR® M on the back  along with a pair of official MIR® Raceline racing gloves and shoes starting at New Jersey Motorsport Park next week followed by the championship’s flagship race at Circuit of the Americas, supporting Formula 1 at the United States Grand Prix in October.

Raven is only the second racing pilot in any American automotive class to represent the Italian-based race apparel and safety equipment company. Earlier this year MIR® Raceline announced its ground-breaking partnership with former professional tri-athlete and F4 U.S. driver Angela Durazo.

“I’m very pleased and excited to start my new partnership with MIR,” said Raven. “They are a very well-established brand within the racing world. I have to thank Angela Durazo and Bob Falcone for putting this all together.”

Due to its rich karting history, MIR® Raceline was first attracted to Raven because of his multi- championship karting record. It was further impressed by his success in Europe in the Formula Ford 1600s and his continued achievements across the pond in F4 U.S. With five races still left in the season, the young Englishman has already made his mark on the series, finishing on the podium five times, claiming pole position once and securing a victory at the very technical Road Atlanta circuit.

Since its first experience in sports, has dressed drivers such as Fernando Alonso, Robert Kubica, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, collecting countless titles, which have made it a point of reference for all the teams. Over the years the company has maintained the craftsmanship of its products but has never stopped looking for solutions that can revolutionize them, improving their safety, aesthetics and comfort for the riders. They are the starting point for brilliant insights such as inserts for perspiration, ProTor-EIP foam padding, elastic fabric, neon colors for track workers, pre-shaped sleeves and the chest protectors that have marked the past and will mark the future of a company that is always on the move.

Today, MIR® Raceline produces about 16,000 suits a year (10,000 for kart racing and 6,000 for auto racing), in 2011 it also started producing official event garments for the CIK-FIA federation. The company is one of the best and most competitive factories nationwide and following the exponential growth of its worldwide sales network, it operates at the pinnacle of the International Karting Federation and the FIA.

MIR® Raceline was born in 1983, but its story begins a few years earlier and has its roots in high fashion. In 1978 the creation, by the hand of Bruno Mazzeschi, of "Confezioni Sabina" dates back: a small tailor-made workshop inside which clothes for internationally renowned designers were produced, such as ARMANI, VERSCE, VALENTINO, CAVALLI., For more information about MIR® Raceline, visit: http://www.mirraceline.com/en/chi-siamo/
