For nearly a decade, Crystal Sensations has provided Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli winners with unique awards to adorn their trophy cases.

For 2020, podium-finishers in all five Trans Am classes will receive hand-blown black, yellow and red floating swirls of glass encased by a thick layer of artistic bubble glass to give the drivers a custom piece of art worthy of a podium performance. 

“We’ve been working with the Trans Am Racing Series since 2012,” said Crystal Sensations President Miles Bocknek. “It's a challenge to continually best what we’ve done in the previous year, but each year we manage to come up with something very cool. The 2020 season is no exception.”

In addition to the podium trophies, Crystal Sensations was called up to produce special commemorative recognition pieces for the Trans Am drivers. The Canadian-based shop designs and manufactures the Rookie of the Year honors, 100 Race commemorative crystal and the season-end Champion Trophies for the Trans Am Awards gala.

“Crystal Sensations returned to Trans Am for its ninth consecutive season,” said Trans Am Company President John Clagett. “The design this year is the best yet, it’s truly beautiful.”

The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli 2020 season opens this weekend (February 28-March 1), joining the SVRA Sebring Vintage Classic in a thrilling weekend mixing great race cars from the past and present.

Each of the five Trans Am classes will have testing sessions on Friday to open on-track activities. Saturday begins with practice at 11:00 a.m. ET, followed by qualifying for each of the classes beginning at 4:55 p.m. Sunday features two 60-minute races with the mixed class of TA/XGT/SGT/GT taking the green at 11:10 a.m. followed by a massive TA2® powered by AEM field lining up at 1:25 p.m. ET.

An autograph session will be held at noon on Saturday. Location updates will be released on the series social media channels (@gotransam). Fans will get another chance to meet their favorite drivers during the fan walks that will happen on Sunday prior to each race.
