Erik Evans with Velocity Racing Development is returning for the final two F4 United States Championship Races

September 20, 2021 - Atlanta, Georgia – Erik Evans and Velocity Racing Development are joining forces for the final two races in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda.

“I am really pumped to be back in my old car with VRD and with my VRD teammates.” Evans states.  “These next two tracks bring a variety of challenges for drivers and car setups which should make for some great racing, and I am confident we will be able to run upfront and compete for wins in both race weekends”.

VRD, current team championship leader, brings a host of top drivers with Evans to VIR, including the 3rd and 4th place points leaders in Nico Christodoulou and Jason Alder.  “Evans is a great addition to our team and can really help the team achieve our goals. Our aim is as always to win and win again. Both the teams and drivers’ championship are still in sight, and we are sure in Erik’s ability and experience to help us cross the finish line on top”

Evans, “Last year I was 6th overall in the F4 championship points, including a Win at Homestead, and podiums at Sebring and COTA, but there are a couple more goals still left to accomplish.”

Evans will climb back in the Ligier JS F4 car September 24-26 for the Andy Scriven Memorial Race Weekend at VIRginia International Raceway.  This race honors the late Andrew “Andy” Scriven, Ligier Autotmotive North America’s chief designer of the JS F4-16 and Ligier JS F3 chassis.
