More than 30 entries across eight different categories have been received ahead of the 24H SERIES’ first official endurance event at the Sebring International Raceway on 18-19-20 November. 

The inaugural Hankook 24H SEBRING marks not only CREVENTIC’s return to the United States of America since 2019, but is also set to be the longest motor race ever to be held at the Sebring International Raceway in the venue’s 71-year history. Fittingly, more than one third of the entries already on the provisional entry list hail from North America. 

ST Racing (#438) goes into the 2021 24H SERIES season finale at the head of the Overall GT Teams’ standings, an impressive accomplishment in the Canadian outfit’s maiden endurance racing season. Samantha Tan, Jon Miller and Chandler Hull, who also lead the Overall GT Drivers’ standings, will be joined at Sebring by team regular Nick Wittmer and FIA Formula 4 United States race winner, Bryson Morris.

In a GT4 category laden with stars and stripes, ST Racing’s BMW M4 GT4 is set to go head-to-head with series returnee, and former Hankook 24H DUBAI class winner, Team ACP – Tanger Associates (#421, Catesby Jones / Jim and Josh Norman / Ken Goldberg) and three debuting teams from North America. In a nod to the field’s depth of competition, all five teams will represent a different manufacturer at the event. 

These include GT4 America frontrunner NOLASPORT (#470), which will run a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS MR; IMSA staple Fast MD Racing (#483), which has entered an Audi R8 LMS GT4; Heart of Racing Team (#423, Gray Newell / Ian James / Roman De Angelis / Alex Riberas), which competes to raise awareness for the Seattle Children's Hospital and is set to race the event’s only Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4; and long-time AMG customer RENNtech Motorsports (#406), which finished on the class podium on its maiden series outing in 2018 and will once again run a Mercedes-AMG GT4.

Three more North American teams are set to compete in the top tier GT3 category. Chief among them is series staple CP Racing (#85), which equaled its best result in the 24H SERIES last time out at the Hungaroring with its Mercedes-AMG GT3, and is set to team former Overall GT Drivers’ champions Charles Putman, Charles Espenlaub and Joe Foster with Daytona 24 Hours class winner, Shane Lewis.

Having previously competed at the Hankook 24H COTA USA in the 991 class, Ohio-based Wright Motorsports (#49) will step up to the GT3 class on its series return with a Porsche 911 GT3 R. The IMSA and Porsche Carrera Cup North America will go head-to-head with the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo of Florida-based contemporary, Triarsi Competizione (#23). The GT World Challenge America class winner makes its 24H SERIES debut at its home circuit. 

Nebraska’s Dexter Racing (#217) rounds out the American competitors with a Ginetta G55 in the TCX class. 

Herberth Motorsport, which already has four outright GT wins to its name in the 24H SERIES this year, headlines the GT3 class, and goes into the season finale at Sebring in contention for both the Overall GT Teams’ title and, with team principal Alfred Renauer, the Overall GT Drivers’ crown. The Bavarian team has registered its now traditional two-car Porsche 911 GT3 Rs for Alfred and Robert Renauer, Daniel Allemann and Ralf Bohn (#91), and Jürgen Häring, Bobby Gonzales, Tim Müller, and Marco Seefried (#92). 

Having made its GT3 return after a near-decade long hiatus, former 24H SERIES Continents champion Leipert Motorsport (#10) makes its second start of the season in Sebring with the Lamborghini Huracán GT3. The quartet of Brendon Leitch, Tyler Cooke, Fidel Leib, and Seb Morris, which finished 3rd overall at this year’s Hankook 12H HOCKENHEIMRING, will be joined by Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe regular, Sebastian Balthasar.

Fresh from its second outright podium of the season in Hungary, Rutronik Racing by TECE (#18, Michael Doppelmayr / Pierre Kaffer / Elia Erhart / Swen Herberger) rounds out its maiden 24H SERIES season at Sebring and completes the provisional GT3 entry list thus far with its Audi R8 LMS GT3.

Overall GT Teams’ championship contender Vortex V8 (#701, Philippe Bonnel / Boris Gimond / Sebastien Lajoux / Steve Brooks) concludes its most successful 24H SERIES season to-date with the Vortex 1.0 on 18-19-20 November. The independent, French sports car has finished all but one of this year’s six endurance events on the GTX podium, and goes into the season finale only 11 points adrift of GT Teams’ standings leader, ST Racing. 

Alongside its GT3 contender, Leipert Motorsport has also registered its tenured Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo (#710) in the GTX category for its all-American driver line-up of Gregg Gorski, Gerhard Watzinger, Lance Bergstein, and Al Miller. 

Across in GT4, Car Collection Motorsport has teamed up with Lionspeed to enter its second race of the season with the Audi R8 LMS GT4 (#499, José Garcia / Daniel Miller / Patric Niederhauser / Patrick Kolb) following its class podium at the Hankook 24H BARCELONA. Jönsson consult / eva solo (#415, Søren Jönsson / Jan Engelbrecht / Henrik Bollerslev / Claus Bertelsen) completes the GT4 line-up so far. The Danish team makes its first series start since the Hankook 12H BRNO in 2019, and steps across to the GT division with its Mercedes-AMG GT4. 

This year’s Hankook 24H SEBRING marks the inauguration of the ‘992’ class, dedicated to the 992-generation Porsche 911 Cup car, ahead of its full-time introduction in 2022. The category is set to be a three-way, inter-team fight for class victory for MRS GT-Racing, which so far has confirmed Jeronimo Guzman, Pedro Torres, Jeff Courtney, Jody Miller, and Raulino Kreis Jr. in the #990 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

With class wins already to its name at Mugello, Barcelona and Hungary already this year, Willi Motorsport by Ebimotors (#955, Fabrizio Broggi / Sergiu Nicolae / Sabino de Castro) will no doubt be gunning for its fourth at Sebring. Its nearest rivals will be series staple Bas Koeten Racing (#925, Marcel and Kay van Berlo / Gijs Bessem / Bob Herber) and series debutant, RPM Racing (#907, Tracy Krohn / Niclas Jonsson / Patrick Huisman / Andy Lally).

Overall TCE Teams’ contenders Autorama Motorsport by Wolf-Power Racing and AC Motorsport have both confirmed TCR entries for Sebring. The Swiss team leads the way with four overall TCE wins this season, two apiece for the #1 Volkswagen (Constantin Kletzer / Emil Heyerdahl / Fabian Danz / Jasmin Preisig) and the sister #112 Golf GTI (Antti Buri / Kari-Pekka Laaksonen / Roberto Ferri). 

AC Motorsport (#188, Stéphane Perrin / Mathieu Detry), currently with four class podiums under its belt this season, lies just eight points behind Autorama Motorsport and will be looking for its first TCE win of the year at Sebring. Red Camel-Jordans.nl meanwhile (#101) continues its TCR program with the Audi RS 3 LMS and father-son duo Ivo and Luc Breukers at Sebring. 

Nordschleife Racing (#226) and fun-M Motorsport (#302) complete the provisional TCE grid thus far with their Ligier JS2 R and BMW M240i Racing Cup respectively. The former took its first TCX-class win with the French sports car at the 2020 Hankook 12H MUGELLO, while the latter began its 2021 campaign with TC victory at the Hankook 24H DUBAI.
