Nicholas Rivers Joins Velocity Racing Development for 2022 F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda
March 15, 2022 – With the start of the 2022 F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda only a month away, Velocity Racing Development (VRD) is pleased to welcome Nicholas Rivers to the program. Partnering with Matt Christensen, Rivers will get his 2022 campaign started at the F4 Series Test at NOLA Motorsports Park at the end of the month before competing in his first wheel-to-wheel race of 2022 April 8-10 at the same Louisiana facility.

“Nicholas had a solid test with us back in January at the Sebring Raceway and will get the season started under the VRD banner,” explained Dan Mitchell. “He has experience in the F4 program running the full year back in 2020, but I think he will be able to accelerate his learning curve with our driver coaching efforts as well as with the knowledge and experience of a race winning program.”

While Rivers is not yet confirmed for the full 2022 season, he is working hard to find the necessary budget to complete the year of F4 competition.

“I loved the VRD program and everything that they provided me,” expressed Rivers. “They treated me like family from day one, and you can see why they have had as much success as they have had in the past. I look forward to starting the season with them and hopefully some strong on track results will assist in finding the complete season budget.”

Mitchell added, “I think Matt and Nicholas will be a potent combination that will fight at the front of the field. If our track record from the past is any indication on what we can expect in 2022, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nicholas on the podium in the very near future.”

With 2022 underway and VRD continuing to expand their series of competition and overall footprint, stay tuned for more information and driver announcements on the horizon.
