Doran-Kroll Competition Enters Three for F4 and FR Opener at NOLA Motorsports Park
April 7, 2022 – With the winter season now in the rear view mirror, Doran-Kroll Competition is ready to get the summer season of racing underway. Entering the national level of open-wheel competition in North America, a pair of FR Americas Championship Powered by Honda drivers will fly the Doran-Kroll Competition colors this weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park while a single Doran F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda driver will enter the mix.

“We are excited to be competing on the national level of F4 and FR open wheel racing in the United States and are ready for the weekend,” explained Francois Doran. “While this will be our first foray into this level of competition, we have set reasonable goals for the weekend and will look to build upon them as the season rolls along.”
Leading the way into NOLA Motorsports Park will be long time Doran-Kroll Competition driver Marco Kacic. Entering the 2022 FR Americas season, Kacic comes with knowledge and experience behind the wheel of an FR car as well as the results of a Formula Pro USA Western Championship race winner and champion. Kacic will race alongside Alex Kirby who also enters the mix with experience on the western United States track and both will make their first green flag start of the FR Americas Championship Powered by Honda this weekend in New Orleans.

15-Year-old Alex Berg, son of Allen Berg and the namesake of Allen Berg Racing Schools, will make his F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda debut at NOLA. Running throughout the country at select series and events, Berg will look to gain experience and knowledge in New Orleans as he makes his national F4 debut.

Competition Director Dominic Dobson continued, “We had a test here last week and were able to work through a lot of good things, as well as overcome a few difficulties that we had. It will be a learning weekend for us as a team and our drivers, but we have a strong group of individuals who are all working towards one common goal.”

On track action will commence on Friday with wheel-to-wheel racing taking place over the weekend. Stay tuned to the Doran-Kroll Competition social media pages for news, information, photos and results from the event weekend.
