Dane Scott Confirmed Jay Howard Driver Development in F4 United States Championship
December 29, 2022 – With one driver already confirmed for the 2023 F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda program for the 2022 reigning championship winning team, Jay Howard Driver Development, the Indiana-based program is pleased to confirm driver number two. Joining the team for his series debut and rookie season will be Dane Scott as he looks to get up to speed and carry on the strong performances of the JHDD program.
“I am amped and ready to start my first F4 season with Jay Howard and the JHDD team,” expressed Dane Scott. “I have followed racing my whole life. I used to watch NASCAR and INDYCAR with my grandfather when I was young. My family took me karting a ton as a kid, and I loved being out on track. My whole life I have always wanted to pursue racing, but I’ve never really known how. In 2021, I decided I wanted to take the first steps into the world of racing. I found JHDD and F4 through Joe Ostholhoff. Joe really helped me learn a ton about racing and get me in contact with the team.”
With a dream to be a race car driver and the funding in place to finally get started, Dane will take part in an extensive off-season test program prior to the start of the 2023 race season.
“Dane is fairly green when it comes to motorsports, but I think we can mold him into a racer and a winner,” added Jay Howard. “Every driver must start somewhere, and Dane has chosen the JHDD F4 program. His learning curve will be steep, but he is excited about the opportunity and challenge and so are we.”
Scott continued, “Thankfully, Jay opened a door for me that I am so grateful for. I am hoping for a great season in 2023, and I can’t wait to start my car racing career!”
The 2023 F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda season will kick off over the March 9-12 weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans, Louisiana.
