Ryan Shehan Secures FR Americas Pole for Season Opener at NOLA

AVONDALE, La. (March 11, 2023) – Ryan Shehan qualified on the pole for the Formula Regional Americas Championship Powered by Honda’s (FR Americas) season opener at NOLA Motorsports Park on Saturday morning. The Austin native laid down a lap time of 1:34.348 in his No. 66 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3 to beat the competition by nearly half a second. Shehan kept busy over the off-season by competing in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship in New Zealand, where he earned two podium finishes.

Nick Persing (No. 29 OPI Commercial Builders Inc. Ligier JS F3), who is pulling double duty competing in the Blue Marble Radical Cup North America this weekend, qualified second with a lap time of 1:34.811. Cooper Becklin (No. 91 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) was third, followed by his teammate Callum Hedge (No. 17 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3), who came from New Zealand to race in the championship this year. Bryson Morris (No. 39 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) rounded out the top five.
