Era Motorsport Ready for F4 and More at Road America SpeedTour

PLYMOUTH, Wisconsin (May 18, 2023) - Era Motorsport is excited to head this weekend to Plymouth Wisconsin to take part in the 2023 Road America SpeedTour weekend.

Era Motorsport will be fielding three cars at Road America, one as part of the second round of the F4 U.S. Championship with karting prodigy Matthew Higgins behind the wheel, and the other two being historic cars for an Era Motorsport customer competing in Groups 10 and 11 with SVRA.

Matthew Higgins is back behind the wheel of the Era Motorsport No. 18 machine for round two Formula 4 U.S. Championship Powered by Honda in 2023.

After a promising start to the season at NOLA Motorsports Park in March, Higgins has completed testing under the instruction of team owner Kyle Tilley and heads into Road America with a much more extensive understanding of the car, and the setup changes necessary for continued racing.

The car already felt pretty good during the race at NOLA,” Higgins said, “but after doing some more testing the team and I have a much better understanding of the car.

“I can’t wait to hit the track this weekend and see where we stack up!”

Higgins competes in the F4 car as part of the Era Motorsport Driver Development program, with the goal of taking drivers from karting, and putting them into a car for the first time to expand their driving skill-set, and prepare them for a career in racing.

As part of the program, Higgins will run a full season of the F4 U.S. Championship, and also undergo testing in the Era Motorsport LMP2 car later in the year.

The F4 US Championship is a series designed for up and coming drivers to learn racecraft and car control on their way to becoming professional racing drivers. The series in 2023 consists of six race weekends, with between two and three rounds each weekend.
