Bryson Morris Gains Two More Top-Five Results at Road America

May 23, 2023 – Bryson Morris, the Formula Regional Americas Championship powered by Honda (FR Americas) rookie, has been on a roll and on track for a podium for the past two rounds. The second FR Americas race event of the year was this past weekend at Road America where the Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport driver came close to a podium on a few occasions, despite limited testing behind the wheel of a Ligier JSF3.

Morris, who piloted his #39 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport prepared machine, earned the fourth fastest lap time in qualifying, and finished his first race of the weekend just one position down in fifth, keeping with his top-five streak. Hoping for his first podium of the season, Morris geared up for two more races Sunday morning.

Scoring his best finish of the weekend with a fourth in race two, there was only one last opportunity for a podium result. Although Morris fought in the top-three for much of the third race, loss of momentum and a caution period put him back in sixth for the remainder of the race and through to the checkered flag.

“We’re clearly in the mix with all the top drivers,” explained Morris. “Our results this weekend are consistent with our first race at NOLA so we’re on the right track, we just need to find that extra bit of speed to crack into the top-three.”

Morris will return on track at the Michelin Le Mans Cup for the Road to Le Mans race in France, on June 8th and 9th.
