August 1, 2023 – It was the furthest event east on the 2023 F4 U.S Powered by Honda calendar this past weekend as teams and competitors traveled to the New Jersey Motorsports Park facility in Millville, New Jersey. At the head of both the Driver and Team Championship point battles, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport was looking for more and their F4 competitors delivered once again earning a pole position, one win, and four podium results over the course of the three-day race weekend.

“It is always a battle, but we managed to do the job we came to do and will now move on to the next round,” explained Teena Larsen. “We are still on target to obtain all of our goals that we set forth at the beginning of the year but there is no chance to slow down now.”

Race #1

With Jesse Lacey leading the field to the green for the first race of the weekend, it was third-place qualifier Patrick Woods-Toth who scored the program's best result in race one on track, however, a wrath of post-race penalties changed the finishing order as Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport earned the win with Titus Sherlock instead, who earned the checkered flag in third. With Sherlock scoring the win, Woods-Toth was dropped from second to P5 after his post-race penalty but continues his presence at the top of the championship point standings. Lacey, who started from the pole position and finished tenth, benefited from the on-track penalties to come home ninth as Hannah Greenemeier had one of her best finishing results of the season in 11th as she narrowly missed out on the championship points. Alex Benavitz and Jett Bowling came up a few laps short and were eventually classified in 22nd and 23rd respectively.

Race #2

Continuing to chase the championship, Patrick Woods-Toth rebounded from the race one penalty on Saturday to stand on the podium Sunday with a solid drive to the second position. As one of the fastest cars yet again, Woods-Toth was able to challenge early before settling into the second position over the 19-lap race. Yesterday’s winner Titus Sherlock added a fourth-place finish as the Team Championship point leader, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport, put three in the top-five with Jesse Lacey in fifth. Alex Benavitz put his #14 entry in P13 as Jett Bowling was classified 18th and Hannah Greenemeier found trouble early on and was forced to retire on lap one.

Race #3

It was another double podium performance from Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport in race three as Saturday’s winner Titus Sherlock returned to the podium block in the second position, just ahead of Patrick Woods-Toth in third. Alex Benavitz had his best showing of the season with a solid drive to the sixth position as the potent program put five drivers in the top-ten with Jesse Lacey in seventh and Hannah Greenemeier in the tenth position. In the strongest showing for the program all weekend long, Jett Bowling progressed from his finishing positions in both race one and two to cross the line 14th in race three putting all six team drivers in the top-15. 

It’s now a nine-week break for the F4 program as the next event will not take place until the weekend of October 5-8 at the ultra-fast Virginia International Raceway. In the meantime, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport will continue to prep their equipment for another potential championship-winning performance while they also sign drivers for their 2024 campaign.
