MK Technologies Joins Forces with FR Americas and F4 U.S.

Technical Partnership to Elevate Inspection Process for both Championships

CHARLOTTE (August 15, 2023) — In the first year of a new partnership, MK Technologies has helped Formula Regional Americas Championship Powered by Honda (FR Americas) and Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda (F4 U.S.) step up their inspection process on a weekly basis.

“We’re excited to have an industry leader like MK Technologies as a partner,” said Scott Goodyear, Race Director for F4 U.S. and FR Americas. “Their products are known for their reliability, accuracy and speed—all things that are of utmost importance when at the race track.”

In 1992, MK Technologies launched with the introduction of sturdy, accurate and cost-effective scale platforms. Since then, their scale platform lineup has evolved to include new functionality and models. Today, they offer scale platforms to suit most any type of motorsport vehicle, as well as a variety of weigh scales, chassis alignment and pit equipment.

“We’re proud to be partners with FR Americas and F4 U.S.,” said Marty Knoll, owner of MK Technologies. “We pride ourselves on the reliability and accuracy of our products, and are excited about the impact this partnership will have on FR Americas and F4 U.S. competition.”

Having utilized MK Technologies’ scale platform assembly since the inception of F4 U.S. and happy with their experience, series officials once again turned to MK Technologies when they learned of the company’s new wireless technology for scales. The parties worked together to have a new set of wireless scale pads built to fill the platform wells on the series’ existing scale platform assembly. Debuting at NOLA Motorsports Park earlier this year, the new setup provides F4 U.S. and FR Americas officials with flexibility of car placement on the scale pads during technical inspection, leading to more efficient and accurate assessments.

“We’re very happy to have this technical partnership with MK Technologies,” said Aaron Coalwell, Technical Director of F4 U.S. and FR Americas. “I’ve used many MK Technologies products during the various roles in my motorsports career, and I know they make high-quality products. We’ve already started to put the wireless scale pads through their paces during our first four events this season, and they’ve stood up to the test. We’re looking forward to continuing to develop a long-term technical partnership with MK Technologies.”

F4 U.S. and FR Americas are enjoying a brief summer break before finishing out the battle for the 2023 championship this fall. The action will resume at VIRginia International Raceway, October 5-8. Tickets for the event are on sale now at VIRnow.com. Be sure to follow F4 U.S. on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for the latest news and updates.
