Everett Stack's Extensive F3 Test Program Continues at Gingerman Raceway in Michigan

August 25, 2023 - Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda (F4 U.S.) rookie driver Everett Stack continued his extensive testing program making two test days driving one of the JENSEN team's Ligier F3 race cars at Gingerman Raceway.

JENSEN team created a customized driver development program for 16-year-old Stack that has included competing in F4 U.S., mixed with extensive testing in one of the team's significantly faster Formula Regional Americas Championship Powered by Honda (FR Americas) race cars.

Formula 3 race cars provide a significantly enhanced challenge for young drivers. Capable of speeds in excess of 155 mph, young drivers learn how to manage throttle application adapting to the increased torque of the 303-horsepower turbo-charged Honda engine. Ligier F3 cars also feature considerably more aerodynamic grip, so young drivers learn to adjust their braking inputs and carry significantly more corner entry speed.

Prior to his Michigan test, Stack also made two race starts driving his Red Hat sponsored Ligier F3 race car at the Summit Point Motorsports Park circuit near his Washington D.C. hometown, scoring a pair of second-place finishes competing in Formula Race Promotions' Atlantic Open Class.

JENSEN team owner Eric Jensen commented, "Everett continues to impress with how quickly he is developing as a race car driver. He made his first F4 test just eight months ago and had no previous karting or racing experience. We had a similar success during the 2022 season with Oliver Westling--who won his first FR Americas race at New Jersey last month--so there was successful recent precedent with the driver development program that we created for Everett Stack."

Graduating to FR Americas competition is the next step in Stack's driver development program. The Championship is the second step on the USA driver development ladder for the hugely popular Formula One World Championship.
