With the new year just days away, we’re taking a look back at our most popular news stories of 2023.

 

PMH Powering Diversity Scholarship Expands to Assist Five Female Racers In 2023

CHARLOTTE (February 20, 2023) — Parella Motorsports Holdings (PMH) is excited to announce five female racers as recipients of this year’s PMH Powering Diversity Scholarship. Launched in 2021 as a way to create a more diverse field of drivers at the grassroots level, the program provides recipients with race entries for SpeedTour events. Previously focused on assisting drivers in Formula Regional Americas Championship Powered by Honda (FR Americas) and Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda (F4 U.S.), the program expands in 2023 to also assist drivers competing in the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli and the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA). This year’s PMH Powering Diversity class includes two women racing in F4 U.S. with Hannah Greenemeier and Ava Dobson, two in Trans Am with Michele Abbate and Amy Ruman, as well as Kaylee Bryson, who will race in SVRA while she works her way toward Trans Am competition.

FR Americas, F4 U.S. and Ligier JS F4 Series Unveil 2024 Schedule

CHARLOTTE (October 3, 2023) – Anticipation is building for the upcoming race season as Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas), Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) and the newly-rebranded Ligier JS F4 Series announced their 2024 schedules today. 

With new races at marquee tracks, an international event, scholarship opportunities and the debut of a new chassis in F4 U.S., the season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting years in recent memory. The 2024 schedule will feature eight different venues across the three series, with FR Americas competing at seven tracks, F4 U.S. at six, and the Ligier JS F4 Series (previously known as “SpeedTour Formula Development”) on five circuits.

Teams and Drivers Get Their First Look at the Ligier JS F422 at Road America

PLYMOUTH, Wis. (May 19, 2023) - Today, at round two of the 2023 Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.), Ligier Automotive North America and championship organizer Parella Motorsports Holdings introduced teams and drivers to their future car, the Ligier JS F422. The new generation F4 will make its debut in the championship in 2024.

Unveiled in its simplest form, in its all-carbon look, the Ligier JS F422 proudly displayed the logos of the series' sponsors and the number 1. A number full of promise for this second-generation single-seater which will replace, as of next season, the Ligier JS F4, which has occupied the spotlight since 2016 as the exclusive chassis of the F4 U.S. Championship.

Titus Sherlock Declared the Winner in Dramatic Race 1 at New Jersey

MILLVILLE, N.J. (July 29, 2023) – Titus Sherlock secured his first-career Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda (F4 U.S.) win during Race 1 of the New Jersey Lottery SpeedTour at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) on Saturday afternoon. A series of on-track incidents and subsequent Stewards’ Decisions had major impacts on the official finishing order and resulted in the 18-year-old Prosper, Texas native being declared the winner of the event.

Michael Costello Wins F4 U.S. Race 1 at Mid-Ohio

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 24, 2023) – Michael Costello earned his second-career win in Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda (F4 U.S.) on Saturday morning at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Driving the No. 19 Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) / CSU One Cure / Lucas Oil / LHP Ligier JS F4, Costello endured a race filled with changing track conditions to take home the trophy.
