Kiwi Motorsport Heads to Barber Motorsports Park for Season Finale

October 15, 2025 – Kiwi Motorsport is set for an action-packed season finale at Barber Motorsports Park this weekend, where the team will close out the 2025 Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) and Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) seasons, having secured both Team Championships and the F4 U.S. Driver Championship. With multiple drivers in championship contention and both team titles already earned, the New Zealand-based program is primed for an exciting final showdown at one of North America’s most picturesque and technical circuits.
Known as the “Alabama Rollercoaster,” Barber Motorsports Park is a 2.38-mile, 17-turn road course renowned for its elevation changes. The track demands precision, rhythm, and courage—perfect conditions for Kiwi Motorsport’s drivers to demonstrate their skill and determination one last time this season.
In FR Americas, Kiwi Motorsport will field an impressive five-car lineup. Nicolas Ambiado, Bruno Ribeiro, and Jett Bowling currently sit second, third, and fourth in the championship standings, respectively—making the final two rounds crucial in the fight for the 2025 title. Kevin Janzen will also return to action in the Masters Class, adding valuable experience and consistency to the team’s roster.
Joining the FR ranks for the first time will be Cooper Shipman, who clinched the 2025 F4 U.S. drivers title in the previous round at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR). Shipman will make his debut in the higher-tier series this weekend, looking to gain valuable experience and momentum heading into a potential full FR Americas campaign in 2026. Already claiming the Team Championship, Kiwi Motorsport will look to lock down the Drivers’ Championship in Alabama.
In F4 U.S., Clemente Huerta and Oliver Savoie will return to represent the team, joined by Zach Fourie, who will make the jump from the Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) for the final event of the year. Kiwi Motorsport, who claimed the F4 U.S. Team Championship and Driver Championship, will shift its focus to ensure Huerta and Savoie can move up in the point standings. At the same time, Fourie will want to fight for the best results possible and championship points in his F4 U.S. debut.
“This is the kind of weekend we dream about as a team,” stated Team Owner Teena Larsen. “We’ve worked so hard all season, and to be fighting for championships in both FR Americas and F4 U.S. is something really special. Our drivers have shown incredible growth and dedication, and Barber is a fantastic venue to close out the year. We’re ready to finish strong and hopefully bring home both titles.”
The race weekend at Barber Motorsports Park will kick off on Friday with two practice sessions and qualifying for each series. Race 1 for both FR Americas and F4 U.S. will take place on Saturday, followed by the final races of the 2025 season on Sunday. Fans can catch all the action live both days on the SpeedTour TV YouTube page.
