Bruno Ribeiro Takes Pole as Championship Battle Moves to Barber

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (October 17, 2025) — Bruno Ribeiro will lead the field down the starting grid after taking the pole in Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) on Friday afternoon. Leading the field to green for the fourth time this season, Ribeiro (No. 01 Alfa Cem / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) will take the advantage into a race that’s certain to carry major championship implications as Ribeiro fights Titus Sherlock (No. 31 Rayne Nutrition / Ronald McDonald House Charities / Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F3) and Nicolas Ambiado (No. 55 Velox USA / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) for the title. Sherlock was quickest in the session, but a tire violation resulted in a five-spot grid penalty, which will leave the current points leader to roll off fifth for tomorrow’s event. Ambiado, who is currently ranked second in the standings, will start 10th after receiving a five-grid penalty of his own for causing a collision during the closing laps of the series’ last round at VIRginia International Raceway last month.
Coming off a strong weekend at VIRginia International Raceway where he earned his third podium of the season, Brady Golan (No. 80 Attire / Toney Driver Development Ligier JS F3) qualified second to start the event from the outside pole. Cooper Shipman (No. 14 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) will start third in his debut race after having locked in the 2025 Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) title.
