Experienced SCCA Team Brings Decades of Open-Wheel Expertise to Professional Formula Racing; Debut Scheduled for April 10 at NOLA Motorsports Park

ALVIN, Texas – March 27, 2026 – Elevate Motorsports Marketing announced today, on behalf of Hillenburg Motorsports of Alvin, Texas, that the team will compete in the 2026 Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas). The move marks an exciting new chapter for the well-established open-wheel program, which has deep roots in sprint car racing and a proven track record across Formula Mazda, Indy Lights, US F4, and its current leadership role in SCCA Club Racing.

Hillenburg Motorsports has built a reputation for excellence in formula car preparation and driver development. The team’s foundation in sprint car racing evolved into successful campaigns in Formula Mazda and higher-level open-wheel series, including Indy Lights and US F4. Today, Hillenburg Motorsports serves as the Customer Service Representative (CSR) for the Houston Region of SCCA, supporting competitors in the Formula Enterprise 2 (FE2) class across the Southwest and Midwest Divisions. The team operates from its facility in Alvin, Texas, and is owned by father and son, Roy and Russ Hillenburg.

Roy Hillenburg brings a lifelong passion for racing to the team. A dedicated supporter of the sport for decades, he remains an active competitor in the Formula Enterprise 2 car, regularly competing in SCCA events. His commitment to grassroots racing and driver development has helped countless competitors advance through the ranks, making Hillenburg Motorsports a cornerstone of regional formula racing in Texas.

Hillenburg Motorsports will make its FR Americas debut at the season-opening round at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, La., on April 10-12, 2026.
