Evagoras Papasavvas Secures FR Americas Pole in NOLA Opener

AVONDALE, La. (April 10, 2026) – Evagoras Papasavvas took the pole for the 2026 Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) season opener at NOLA Motorsports Park. Making his FR Americas debut, Papasavvas (No. 71 Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F3) posted a 1:33.626 lap, bettering the field by 0.253 seconds. 2025 FR Americas NOLA winner Brady Golan (No. 40 Toney Driver Development Ligier JS F3) qualified second, followed by rookie Kekai Hauanio (No. 29 N-E-Where Transport / Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F3). Kiwi Motorsport teammates Cooper Shipman (No. 10 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) and Harbir Dass (No. 9 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) rounded out the top five, with less than a half second separating the group.

FR Americas had two practice sessions Friday morning to get warmed up before qualifying. Shipman, the 2025 champion in Formula 4 United States Championship, led the first session by 0.070 seconds over eventual pole winner Papsavvas. Hauanio was third in his FR Americas debut.

Practice 2 perfectly mirrored qualifying, with Papasavvas holding a 0.011-second advantage over Golan, and Hauanio ranking third.
