April 13, 2026 – Evagoras Papasavvas enjoyed a strong first weekend in Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) competition this past weekend after joining Crosslink Motorsports in a late deal ahead of the event. Coming into the weekend with no prior testing, Papasavvas wasted no time making an impression, earning pole position in qualifying and immediately showing the speed needed to contend at the front of the field.

In Race 1, Papasavvas was in the mix for a strong result before a slight on-track miscue dropped him back, ultimately crossing the line in sixth position, but elevated to fourth after post-race penalties were assessed. He quickly bounced back in Race 2, putting together a determined drive to score his first victory of the 2026 season. Papasavvas capped the weekend with another strong performance in Race 3, returning to the podium with a third-place finish.

The weekend marked an impressive debut with Crosslink Motorsports, particularly given the limited preparation heading into the event. To earn pole position and leave with both a race win and an additional podium result highlighted Papasavvas’ adaptability and pace as he continues his 2026 campaign.

“It was a really positive weekend for us, especially considering how late everything came together and the fact that we came in with no testing,” explained Evagoras Papasavvas. “To start off with a pole position was a huge credit to Crosslink Motorsports and all of the work they put in right away. Race 1 was disappointing because we had more in it, but I was proud of how we responded in Race 2 to get the win. To finish the weekend back on the podium in Race 3 gives us a lot of confidence moving forward. I’m excited to keep building with the team.”

Papasavvas continued, “The goal in 2026 is simple for me; win races and earn the FR Americas championship.”

With momentum now on his side, Papasavvas will turn his focus to the next round of FR Americas, set for May 14–17 at the famed Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
