Whitney Strickland Leads Masters Cup Championship to Green
ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (May 15, 2026) – Evagoras Papasavvas secured his second-career pole at Road America in Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) competition on Friday. Setting a fastest lap of 2:03.619, Papasavvas (No. 71 Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F3) bettered 2025 Road America podium-finisher Brady Golan (No. 40 Toney Driver Development Ligier JS F3) by just 0.153 seconds. Starting on row two, Cooper Shipman (No. 10 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) will line up next to Christian Bogle (No. 7 Pelican Energy Consultants / Toney Driver Development Ligier JS F3), while Harbir Dass (No. 9 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) will round out the top five in row three. The top-five qualifiers were all separated by less than a second.
In the Masters Cup Championship, Whitney Strickland (No. 21 TF Companies / Hillenburg Motorsports Ligier JS F3) beat Kevin Janzen (No. 24 US Power Group/Data Center Solutions / Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F3) to lead the class in qualifying.

With one practice Friday afternoon, Golan topped the speed charts, while Shipman trailed by just 0.419 seconds. Meanwhile, Papasavvas ranked third.
