Gastón Irazú Secures F4 U.S. Pole at Mid-Ohio

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 13, 2026) – Gastón Irazú will lead the Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) grid to green this afternoon. Recording a 1:23.901 lap, Irazú (No. 27 Elia Group / Baly / Canal 4 / Ancap / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F422) earned his second-consecutive pole. MLT Motorsports’ driver Cole Medeiros (No. 77 MLT Motorsports Ligier JS F422) was second fast in qualifying, but will start seventh after receiving a penalty for failing to respect a red flag during the session.

As a result, Caleb Campbell (No. 68 Steele Auto Group / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F422) will start second, while Clemente Huerta Raab (No. 17 Velox USA / Speed Factory Ligier JS F422) and Fernando Rivera (No. 16 Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F422) complete the second row.

Fifth-place starter Zach Fourie (No. 15 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F422) topped Friday’s practice session, besting eventual-polesitter Irazú by 0.053-seconds. In that session, Medeiros, Huerta, and Luca Day (No. 54 Zimperium / Momentum Motorsports Ligier JS F422) rounded out the top five.
