Whitney Strickland Will Lead Masters Cup Field to Start

MILLVILLE, N.J. (August 1, 2026) – Evagoras Papasavvas will lead the field down the starting grid for Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) Race 1 at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) on Saturday afternoon. Points leader Papasavvas (No. 71 Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F3) will line up side by side with championship rival Brady Golan (No. 40 Toney Driver Development Ligier JS F3) to kick off the second half of the 2026 season. 

Cooper Shipman (No. 10 Driven Dynamix / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) recorded the fastest lap of the qualifying session, but received a three-grid spot penalty for impeding the qualifying effort of Golan. As a result, Shipman will roll off fourth, directly behind Golan.
